Car ran into longkang

Without paying full awareness while driving, my car ran into a big drain today when i tried to pull over. The front left tyre was stuck in the drain and i can't move the car at all. very paiseh...it was at Lorong Susu in front of the "Char Siew Rice" shop when going there to tapao lunch for bro! Luckily there were few nice guys offered to help, an uncle suggested to find a wood and support the tyre while i reverse the car. ok...the indonesian helper from the shop finally found a wood and 3 guys helped to hold and support the tyre with the wood while i reversed my car. The car got up easily with the great idea and help of the people! Umm....i feel the warmth of the people for their lending hands. :-) "Thank you!" Same time, abit paiseh for being an 乌龙 driver. >_<

"Oscar Golden Award"

Now i finally experienced the politics at work place with "Mr. 25" who likes back stabbing so much and yet acts "friendly" & "innocent" in front of you. I'm here to give away the Oscar Golden Award to this Best Actor.

My Sponsored Child

I finally received the information of my sponsored child. Zhao Ying Li, a 10 year-old girl, she is from HeBei PingQuan, China. Her daily chore is to help baby sitting. Parents are subsistence farmers. The annual income is RM555. Well, now see...what can i get for her when choosing a gift? no food, no money, no jewelleries, no electronic products, e.g. watch toys, calculators, CDs, no clothings, no shoes, no cosmetics or skin-care items, e.g. lotion, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, no stuffed dolls and toys. Basically i can't give anything that will arouse jealousy among other children and members of the community and be detrimental to community harmony. Now see what can i get for her...stationaries, stickers, bookmarks, books, my photos, drawings, letters, plain color socks, scarves or caps, postcards of home country, scenary photos, hair pins and ribbons, small hanging decorations, tooth brush, hand towels, plain color handkerchiefs. If little things like these can add smiley faces on

14 Feb is an unforgetable day

Seeing this title in Eng Keat's MSN, thought of asking him what makes him so good about this Valentine's Day. Just got a new gf? celebrating happily with her? I'm pleased i did not. Received the news of his mom passing away the next day. That made me stunned. This day is really an unforgetable day for him. Went to the funeral home that night with few friends. They were running a Christian ceremony, so everything was simple & peace...I was glad to see him to be very strong and still able to joke around with us. "Be good to our parents when they are still here" this is something came from EH who wasn't really care much about home til the loss of his dad few years ago. I agree, as parents will only be with us for at most another 30+ years or shorter? But friends will be with us til we are old. Sometimes, even a simple lunch/dinner, i try to make it together with them. It means something to me. It's not ordinary.

Thaipusam with foreigners in PG

Image
I was being a tour guide again unintentionally today, but end up to be great though. Initial plan was to join my bro to the Thaipusam procession with Fred (Fred Tomianovic from Arizona, ITMC 2nd Level/Manager). And i thought that is about it. But the day started with having my bro's colleagues and his Costa Rican counterparts getting along. We went to see the piercing at Lorong Kulit, then head to Waterfall area to join the procession up to the temple at the hill. Walked for almost 4-5 hours under the hot sun (and i'm getting sunburn now!). They are amazing and seem unbelievable with the piercing through their mouth with stainless steel. And yes, WE witnessed the very moment when he pierced it in! We then drove up to Holiday Inn and relaxed ourselves with some drinks, and of course beers & cigarettes for them, and hot chocholate for me...erhem...just because i'm not an alcoholic but i'm not a teetotaller neither. After dinner, we had a stroll in the drizzling night

New Year Motto

“提升自己,充实人生。” 9 Feb 2006 was a special day which i had my first step in two new things. Making it a turning-point in my life. I'll check the progression from time to time. Keep it up!

年初九拜天公

Bro and me played some fireworks with sis, that reminds me on old times when we were kids playing fireworks and fire crackers with cousins every year during CNY. We had a simple 拜拜 ceremony, and the area is full of crackers noise! OK, it finally slows down now and i shall head to bed...zzz...good night~.~

Ipoh Trip

Spent a day in Ipoh with jian0, yen, hong chiat and kg. Nothing really special there but notice that they are really famous with their chicken. Erhem, the real chicken i mean. Tauge Chicken, Salted Chicken and chicken feet are the famous food. Served tauge chicken @ Oon Kei for lunch and chicken feet @ Kum Kei for dinner. See? we are eating every part of a chicken. That's Chinese :) Spent the afternoon in temples at and around "San Bao Dong". But the weather in PG is extremely HOT! Sometimes i really opt to give up many activities due to the crazily warm weather out there. How nice if the temperature in PG can reduce by 5-10 degrees :)
