My Sponsored Child

I finally received the information of my sponsored child. Zhao Ying Li, a 10 year-old girl, she is from HeBei PingQuan, China. Her daily chore is to help baby sitting. Parents are subsistence farmers. The annual income is RM555.
Well, now see...what can i get for her when choosing a gift? no food, no money, no jewelleries, no electronic products, e.g. watch toys, calculators, CDs, no clothings, no shoes, no cosmetics or skin-care items, e.g. lotion, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, no stuffed dolls and toys. Basically i can't give anything that will arouse jealousy among other children and members of the community and be detrimental to community harmony.
Now see what can i get for her...stationaries, stickers, bookmarks, books, my photos, drawings, letters, plain color socks, scarves or caps, postcards of home country, scenary photos, hair pins and ribbons, small hanging decorations, tooth brush, hand towels, plain color handkerchiefs.
If little things like these can add smiley faces on those children, why not?
