experience...

Ever since grandparents moved in and stayed with us, my time everday has been allocated for them especially grandpa who had a stroke, who can't move half side of his body and need total aid of the maid to get up from the bed or to move around everywhere in the wheelchair. In spite of this, he can still talk a lot! sometimes he can even crack some jokes that no one can ever expect. The one thing that he will never forget is to ask us to go Balik Pulau makan his durian farm's durian. It's fun spending time talking to him everyday, spoon-feeding him drinks and food. he really has big appetite and can eat A LOT comparing to ppl at his age, he is 80.

This early morning, shock of my life. 3am, i heard grandma calling his name non-stop, the maid came up knocking at the door and said, "tuan, itu ah gong..." after that we all went down, grandpa was having hard breath and turned unconscious, with foam at the mouth. we all started all our rescue power, having dad herbalist, sis little st. john member in school, mom's experience, and my longevitology practice, he got better, and eventually got up well in the morning. grandpa is the first one i used on the practice. i seriously need to practise more often now.

As i'm writing this blog, i can hear him shouting for help and for ppl's attention :( i know he's suffering lying on the bed, but nothing much we can do :( i pray hard for his suffering to reduce and live happily with us here.

Nonetheless, i found this pic taken some time ago, taken when i noticed this sign on the way to his kampung house few years back @ Sg. Pinang. Proudly, let me take a pic with it :P Although it's just a small lane in kampung, it's a state of respect & recognition to him for being the Penghulu Kampung for the past many years. At least i can stand there and say firmly, "IT IS MY AH GONG's ROAD!" :P
