Important Mission

Guess what?! i have an important mission to complete tomorrow. After 2 months of countdown daily by grandpa, ever since grandma travelled to Sabah to stay with her son, tomorrow is finally the day she'll back. i feel touched by seeing grandpa holding the calendar/newspaper everyday, not paying his first attention to the news but keep checking the date everyday, morning and night. and everytime i talk to him, he would remind me about 4th Aug, Monday. he wants so much to go to the airport. i was given an important role to be an ambassador to patch them back in good relationship. he regretted for all the scoldings he had for grandma all these years, for his bad temper. therefore, he had appointed me as ambassador tomorrow to send good messages to grandma, to accept his apologies, he will be nice from now on and he told me that he wants to 重新做人. OMG, i felt very touched when he told me that. not only once, but he told the whole world that he has passed this important job to me. despite grandpa is half paralyzed, his brain is still so much active and i can feel his love for grandma.

i know it's difficult to get him into the car, to the airport, many of his children has been telling him just to wait at home for grandma's return; but i promised him to bring him to the airport. we were just teasing him during lunch today, to write some words in letter to ah ma, remember to say "i love you" when he meets ah ma, and one more thing, i will either bring him to pick some nice flowers from the neighbourhood before heading to airport or to buy a bouquet of flowers for him to hold and give to ah ma. hahahha. he didn't want all those, but just kept reminding me to say good things and pass all the messages on his behalf requesting for ah ma's forgiveness. he was telling me his story with ah ma when they were young, that ah ma was one of the prettiest in the kampung. wahhahaha....wow~! and during CNY, they needed to hold the big & small bags and kids (including my dad) to take the public bus to visit relatives, coz they did not have enough $ to pay for taxi, his tears was bout to drop when he came to this part...i enjoyed my daily chatting session with grandpa, whether it's breakfast time, lunch time, tea time, evening time or his bed time. he needs ppl to talk good things before he could sleep well now. i do my very best to fulfill whatever he's requesting for, although sometimes he's quite fussy. he wants to eat many things, non-stop. today he wants leong fun, tomorrow he wants red bean soup, day after tomorrow he wants to eat curry rice, etc. i will just walk out to buy or bring him out in his wheel chair to the mamak stall to eat the curry + rice. The indians at the shop were all very kind to help getting him in to the shop in his wheelchair, coz there were stairs.

i feel very lucky and happy to be able to still stay with my grandpa and listen to his stories. what surprised me today was, he speaks ENGLISH out of sudden and with the exact figure of the acre conversion thingy, when he was talking bout his durian farm. "it is 4-5 acres. 1 acre is equal to 43560 sq feet...etc" OMG!!! he has a brilliant brain still! i didn't have a single idea on how the conversion like before he said it until i confirmed it on the Internet, he was absolutely correct! OMG, i didn't expect that to ever come out from him.

i would say my grandpa is really cute sometimes, i love him :) show you his photos again k? i will make sure my mission tomorrow is a success! =D
